Malacañang Palace Manila expressed support to Sen. Panfilo Lacson’s proposal to revive the Jose Pidal case.
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s administration is known to be the most corrupt, unfair, unethical and most biased government more than Marcos regime in the Philippine Politics history which court cases decision during her term is remained questionable, unfair and absence of justice reason old cases starts reviving to claim a clear and transparent court decision under the Benigno Aquino Administration.
Arroyo administration manipulated the court to issue warrant of arrest to Lacson during the last minute of the arroyo regime to avoid Lacson barring the arroyo’s plan to extend her stay of office and to implement charter change which she could seat as the first prime minister of the Philippines and to buried down her corruption cases during her term. The failure of arroyo to implement charter changed forced her to run as congresswoman to gain immunity and remain in power to protect her previous violations of laws of the Philippines.
With the eagerness of Lacson to revive the Jose Pidal (John Doe / Juanang Matandang Babae) alias name; the palace is willing to back up as long as Lacson could provide solid evidences.
“I think Senator Lacson would require no prodding from the Executive branch,” Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said. “As you all know, he’s a crusader for good governance and when he mentioned that he has evidence or documents proving his point, then we certainly expect him to do so.”
In a privilege speech in 2003, Lacson had said that then First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo laundered R321 million in campaign funds and contributions through a bank account under the name “Jose Pidal.” His brother, Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo, later on admitted that he was Jose Pidal.
Arroyo, who is a congressman from Negros Occidental, brushed aside Lacson’s proposal to revive the controversy as a waste of taxpayers’ money. Arroyos previous allies are worried of the recent transparent government that might put them into execution of proven guilty.
“I hope Sen. Ping Lacson will be man enough and civil enough to admit his mistake this time,” said Arroyo, brother-in-law of former president and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
The congressman said the senator refuses to accept that his accusations against the former First Family were a manufactured web of lies and that the Senate has failed to find any wrongdoing.
One thing which remains questionable is arroyo admitted that he is Jose Pidal wherein he is not which means there is a hidden lies and purpose of not telling the truth for a hidden questionable fund of Jose Pidal.
“The opposition then presented a supposed handwriting expert to dispute my claim but it turned out that the person did not even have enough credentials to be called an expert,” Arroyo said.
“A Senate probe was conducted but no wrongdoing on our part was proven. No other supposed expert was presented by the then opposition. So why should Senator Lacson waste time on another replay? For media mileage,” he said.
